Privacy policy

This policy explains how Trideca Studios Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit tridecastudios.com or contact us. Our individual products have their own privacy policies, published on their own websites.

Who we are

Trideca Studios Ltd is the data controller for this website. We are a company registered in England & Wales, company number 17458458, with our registered office at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE, UK. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@tridecastudios.com.

What we collect

  • Visit data. Like most websites, our hosting provider's servers automatically record technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. We use this only to keep the site secure and working.
  • Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, name and whatever you choose to include in your message.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not sell personal data.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we rely on our legitimate interests to run and secure this website and to reply to people who contact us. Where an enquiry leads to a contract with you, we may also rely on that contract or on steps you asked us to take before entering into it.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies. It stores one small item in your browser's local storage to remember that you have already seen the logo animation, so it only plays on your first visit. It contains no personal information and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Hostinger, which hosts this website and keeps its server logs.
  • Google Workspace, which provides our email.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement. We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a limited period set by our hosting provider and then deleted. We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and generally for no more than two years after our last contact, unless we need to keep them longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your data
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data
  • ask for your data in a portable format, where that applies

To use any of these rights, email hello@tridecastudios.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
